The Tearing Ledge may be the remains of one of a number of ships: the 50-gun fifth-rate Romney and the 70-gun third-rate Eagle. · Source-reported sinking date: 1707

The remains include: 65 iron guns, cannon balls, several large anchores, and bottle and glass fragments along with lead scupper pipes.

Sank in 1707 following a struck the Western Rocks (due to poor navigatio and bad weather). Discovered in 1969.
